How Not To Decide How To Vote
- Deciding based on race or gender. - I’m all for diversity at every level. However, that shouldn’t be the basis for you decision. Always, always, always it should be about who is the best person for the job. Regardless of race or gender.
- Deciding based on how the polls are going. - Really, all the polls are slanted one way or another. Their primary purpose is to sway your vote. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. In the end, no one but you needs to know how you voted. Don’t let the polls influence you - that’s what they’re designed to do.
- Deciding based on the campaign ads and promises. - They’ll only tell you what they want you to hear. Do your homework - do some research. Read lots - from both sides. Then go out and make your own decision.
And one final piece of advice - “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!”
